We’ve all seen the commercials.

Airfare = $300

Lodging = $200

Theme Park Tickets = $100

Childhood Memories = Priceless

It makes for a great commercial, doesn’t it? If only it were that easy. Memories are, without a doubt, priceless treasures, and I’d argue that memories made during the sweet days of summer are the very best kind. If only priceless meant without an actual price! As the temperatures begin to slowly creep up and spring break looms like an exciting promise on the horizon, thoughts turn to the resources needed to turn summer dreams into realities. And while we can’t negotiate with The Mouse to lower ticket prices or take the sting out of paying to fly the friendly skies, Auburn Youth Programs offers full, partial, and individual camp scholarships sure to get your student one step closer to those priceless summer memories.

For those campers who are awarded full scholarships, the cost of the camp including lodging, meals, and all camp activities will be fully funded and covered by either a private donor or available grant. Campers are only responsible for the non-refundable $25 application fee and a $50 key deposit which is returned at the conclusion of the camp week. Fully funded AYP camps that are available to all students include Construction Management Summer Academy for Young Women and Paper & Bioresource Engineering Camp. Our 21st Century Camps and B.O.S.S. Academy are available to students who are Alabama residents and are completely grant-funded.

Many of AYP’s other camps offer the potential for partial scholarships that are funded through 3rd party donations and funds raised during Tiger Giving Day. Camps with partial scholarship opportunities will have from one to four scholarships available for award. To be considered for these awards, complete the scholarship application associated with each camp. While scholarship funds are not guaranteed, all campers are encouraged to apply. Junior Eagle, Senior Eagle, WAYS, Architecture Camp (all sessions), Industrial Design, and Building Construction are all camps eligible for partial scholarships.

Finally, thanks to special departmental funding and designated grants, AU Brain Camp and Discovery Med Camp have the unique ability to be provided at a lower cost than other AYP camps. The scholarship dollars available for these camps are divided equally across all campers resulting in the reduced camp fee. Both Brain and Discovery Med camps require applications for admission, so don’t delay, apply today.

If you have any questions regarding our camps or available scholarship opportunities, we are happy to help. War Eagle, happy campers!
